My Story

We are taking part in the Bright Ideas for Tennis 24 Hour Tennis Marathon in order to raise funds to expand their I Play 30 disability tennis programme.

Supporting Disability Tennis in Ulster

As President of Tennis Ireland, I am travelling to London with, one coach, four junior, and four senior players from Downshire Tennis Club to take part in a tennis marathon in support of Disability Tennis Ulster.

All participants are covering their own travel and accommodation costs, ensuring that 100% of funds raised will be reinvested directly back into Ulster clubs and communities.

The money raised will be used to provide grants to clubs across the Province that are delivering, or wish to deliver, disability tennis programmes. These grants will help clubs expand opportunities and make tennis more accessible across the following disciplines:
· Visually Impaired Tennis
· Wheelchair Tennis
· Para-Standing Tennis
· Enjoy Tennis

Our aim is to raise a minimum of £1,000 per participant, creating a meaningful fund that will support clubs in running sustainable, inclusive programmes and welcoming more players into the sport.

Your sponsorship will have a direct and lasting impact, helping clubs remove barriers to participation and ensuring that tennis is a sport for everyone.

Thank you for supporting this initiative and for helping us grow disability tennis across Ulster.
